A conifer forest floor mushroom lamp with coast redwood needles, hemlock pinecones, and a tiny blue butterfly, which remains unidentified. I found it dead in my driveway last year.
The mushrooms are painted and sculpted to resemble Mycena oregonensis, a west coast conifer floor specialist.
Made and sculpted by hand, all materials meticulously self gathered and assembled to create this little lamp, which looks great in a light or dark setting. Use it as a nightlight, or a curio on your bookshelf or desk. It is sealed and preserved to last a lifetime or much longer.
When the lights go out, the gills of the mushrooms will glow blue all by themselves in the dark for a little while. Takes AAA batteries. Store without batteries if you’re not using it regularly to protect it from battery acid.
