This pendant is a one-sided, in-house reproduction of an ancient tetradrachm , remade with modern materials and recycled metals. It features King Phillip II of Macedonia, sometimes better known as the father of Alexander the Great. He is seated atop a lively Thracian horse, a long extinct breed of war horse from the ancient world, of which the famous Bucephalus was bred. The coin from which this pendant was made was minted and distributed during the Hellenistic period, from 359-336 BC.
The pendant itself is slightly larger than a US quarter. Made with recycled sterling silver. Comes on an open length, US sourced deerhide cord, a sterling silver chain, or a garnet gemstone cord
