A double dose of ammonite; the legendary extinct cephalopod has left us many different kinds of abundant fossil treasures in the earth, most spectacularly in the form of the gemstone ammolite, the iridescent fossil remains of it’s pearly shell. Equally as interesting are pyritized ammonites, fossils in which remains are replaced by the mineral pyrite.
This solid, hand fabricated fine silver pendant includes both types of fossil.
Ammolite only comes from a single cretaceous era deposit in Alberta, Canada, and certainly represents the most beautiful type of fossil in the world.
Comes with the option of a 21” blackened sterling silver chain.
