Ammolite is a Cretaceous era fossil. Technically fossilized mother of pearl from extinct Ammonites, the incredibly vivid colors and iridescent play of light are all natural. A relic of the life that once teemed in the warm, shallow inland seas that are now the Great Plains of the US & Canada, these fossils are truly precious, and one of the rarest materials in the universe.
These fossils are known from a single deposit in Alberta, and this one in particular is from the Blood Reservation.
