An interesting ammolite specimen set in silver.
Really interesting colors and patterns in this one, including flecks of gold nacre, which I hadn’t seen in ammolite fossils until now. Flashes of green, orange, and deep blue and indigo make this unique stone a real standout.
Set in a low profile fine silver, hand fabricated setting, on a durable hammered sterling silver band.
This piece would work as a dual ring / scarf slide.

This ammolite was mined by Blood tribe members from the Bearpaw formation, on their reservation in Alberta, Canada. This deposit of cretaceous era marine fossils was formed at a time when a shallow, tropical inland sea covered what is now the Great Plains.
