Blackened Silver, Ruby, and Gold Cuff
A piece in a style I like to call "elevated brutalism". I'm not sure if that's a real thing or not, but if not, it is now.
A heavy-duty fine (999) silver cuff, hand forged with hammer and anvil, and then finished with a rusted antique hammer to create it's unique, organic texture. A conflict free 1.42 carat lab-grown ruby glows like an ember in a solid 22k gold setting. The surface is gold leafed with 23 karat gold, and finally oxidized to black to create a striking contrast.
Depending on wear and tear, this piece may need to be gilded again in the future due to the thinness of gold leaf, but because the stone is a heat durable ruby, it can be safely refinished with gold again in the future if required.
