Hand fabricated and textured fine silver (999) with 23k gold leaf applied via the Keum Boo method of gilding. Sterling silver wires.
Keum Boo (pronounced "come - boo") is to say a thermally bonded layer of gold burnished in by hand. This ancient Korean technique is an economical and artistic way to add a splash of gold to silver, with the oxidation of the silver providing a striking contrast of color.
