Leave No Trace FAQ
Q: Do you shoot non-equestrian elopements? A: Yes, of course! While I specialize in shooting horses and equestrians, I'm very happy to shoot couples who aren't equestrians. Q: Do you shoot elopements in cities like New York & Paris? A: No. I believe it is important for couples and photographers to share that spark of what energizes and inspires them, and I am neither energized nor inspired by cities! Just like an urban photographer who may feel unsettled in the woods won't do their best work in the darker corners of Olympic National Park, I won't do my best work in an urban setting and you deserve someone who truly does! Q: Will you shoot elopements at courthouses? A: Typically, no, unless it is a beautiful courthouse location in a smaller city. I am not an urban critter, and trust me, you don't want me shooting you on such an important day after trying to arrive on time and park in San Francisco or LA. I will not be in an artistic state of mind after that ordeal! There are urban photographers out there who will be a better choice for this type of elopement. Q: Will you shoot an equestrian elopement for beginner riders or non equestrians? A: Tentatively yes, providing that the venue chosen provides a dedicated wrangler to assist you with your mounts, and provides quality mounts with quality tack. This is from a safety perspective as well as an aesthetic perspective. |
