Hot Off The Press:
2024 Wildlife Cam Subscriptions
In the spring of 2024, after three years of managing a remote wildlife camera for fun on the private land my amazing partner Jeff manages in Central California, I've had the realization that
the incredible diversity of animal life I've been able to capture is not only worthwhile enough to share, it would be a crime not to. I've recently begun to set up a KoFi account to create a central access portal for subscribers, as well a way to hopefully generate some funds to help me spend more time and resources on this project. This is a work in progress and I will be adding more videos, especially to the Archive from 2022-2023 very soon. At present, I am only running one camera sporadically, either when I have time, or when a hotspot like a carcass or a dwindling summer water hole opens up. Every time it seems like the camera is full to bursting of surprising and interesting animals and behaviors. I would like to find a way to dedicate a lot more time toward placing & monitoring the cameras & all the files, but I am going to need some help to do it. |
The bottom line:
I'd love to be able to run multiple cameras at the same time, every single day of the year, but I am going to need your help to do it. The reality has been that each time I have unloaded the camera, it is full to bursting with incredible footage of some really special animals, ranging from California condors, Tule Elk, badgers, yellow billed magpies, both US species of eagles, and more. I'd be able to place cameras everywhere from turtle basking logs, to anthills frequented by horned lizards, and the trails favored by our abundant but reclusive mountain lion population. Burrowing owls, roadrunners, stellars jays, arboreal salamanders, western pond turtles, eagles, horned lizards, condors, and tiger salamanders all call this one place home, and I'd love to be able to show you!
