An excellent Deer Creek fire agate with green and red iridescence, paired with a natural gold nugget from Idaho, with 18k gold granulation, in a sterling silver setting. This piece is tiny, with a lot going on.
I source fire agates miner-direct, from a miner who also cuts his own stones, which I think is pretty cool.
They are in fact not agates, but an unusual type of chalcedony, found almost exclusively in Arizona. Fire agates are definitely rare collector’s stones.
