Decorated rattlesnake tail pendants (pure silver, one of a kind originals)
From the archives, two of the last original decorated rattlesnake tail pendants in my possession. These are what got me started back in 2017, and they are aging well, all things considered. A chance to go back in time and grab a one of a kind from the early days; these are hand sculpted with PMC ( fine silver precious metal clay) which was the medium and method that got me started in silversmithing. I still love this medium, and still find it to be incredibly innovative and fun to work with.
They are one sided, and without maker's marks or metal assays. I could add these now, at this later date, but felt that leaving them off more accurately reflects my work at the time. I was more interested in the art itself than following the established rules of jewelry, and so they will remain unmarked on the back.
I'll hang them on simple dark brown deerhide cords before sending them out.
