A gorgeous 3 carat dark pthalo green Emerald Obsidianite, in a classic emerald cut. This mineral is a result of the high chromium and silica content in the ashes that infamously exploded out of Mt St Helen decades ago.
Fused and faceted, they make for a unique gemstone and addition to any natural history or mineral collection. A word of caution: as a type of obsidian, these gems do scratch and shatter if abused. They are best enjoyed as specimens.
