Silver ammonite stud earrings
10x8mm fine silver, with sterling silver posts. Handmade individually. The fossil these were made from is a Jurassic era iron-pyrite ammonite from the coast of England, and found on the beach by an amateur fossil hunter. Ammonites were ancient cepalopods which roamed the oceans worldwide for millions of years. They ranged in size from just a few millimeters, to over 6 feet across. A little bit of matrix left on the fossil gives these little earrings a bit of extra texture and sparkle.
