A dark red Mozambique garnet, with an interesting asymmetrical cut, set in 18k gold, on a wide, hammered sterling silver band, with some fused silver droplets, some of which have gold fused surfaces, creating a subtle contrast.
The stone is dark in most lighting, but when it catches a beam of direct light, a deep, ruby-red glow inside burns like a hot coal. Natural Mozambique garnets are top performers where garnets are concerned; they have exceptional color saturation, clarity, and refractive index. When not lit it up from the inside, light sparkles and sheets off the facet surfaces, making this stone stand out in different ways in different lighting.
